How you build a wine bottle lamp.

To add to the features in a wine theme kitchen, you can build a wine bottle lamp. This is an easy project that adds a nice touch.

Instructions
1. Select a wine bottle that would make s nice lamp. There are many special shapes to wine bottles. There are many that would make nice lamps. The author's favorite is a chiante bottle with a wickor outer shell.

   

2. Purchase a bottle to lamp conversion kit from your local home center. You can make a lamp without this kit but doing so would require drilling through the glass. Using a conversion kit make it much easier.

   

3. Follow the instructions for making the bottle into a lamp. The directions typically consist of connecting the black wire of the lamp cord to the black terminal of the lamp socket and the white wire of the lamp cord to the silver terminal terminal of the lamp socket.
4. Make sure that the exposed portion of the wire doesn't touch any other metal other than the desired terminal.
