How to build a wine bottle clock

Background
To add to the features in a wine theme kitchen, you can build a wine bottle clock. This is an easy project that adds a nice touch.

    Parts
  1. CD
  2. corkscrew. I bought mine at a dollar store.
  3. cork
  4. clock mechanism with a long shaft. I bought mine from Michaels.
  5. wine/champagne bottle

    Instructions
  1. Select a wine bottle that matches the decor of the room.
  2. Insert the corkscrew onto the cork.
  3. Locate a nice wine theme picture and scale it to the size of the CD and print it.
  4. Glue the printout onto the CD. Clear coat it for a nice glossy effect.
  5. Insert the clock mechanism shaft through the finger hole of the corkscrew and through the CD.
  6. Screw the nut onto the shaft of the clock mechanism.
  7. Attach the hands of the clock.
  8. Insert the assembly into the wine/champagne bottle.
